Baseball Pancake Breakfast
Colfax High’s benefit Baseball Pancake Breakfast is set for Saturday, Feb. 18 at Colfax High School from 8 a.m. to noon.  The breakfast is held to help raise funds for the school’s varsity and JV baseball teams.
One of the prize silent auction items at the upcoming breakfast will be an autographed Madison Bumgarner 2014 World Series MVP baseball. Only 50 of the signed baseballs were authenticated by the San Francisco left-handed pitcher after the Giants defeated the Kansas City Royals to win the 2014 World Series.
Tickets are $7 per person and can be purchased from Colfax High baseball players or at the door.

“Skills & Drills” camp set
Colfax High School’s Lady Falcons girls’ basketball program is presenting a two-session “Skills & Drills” girls’ basketball clinic that is scheduled to run Feb. 28 and March 1 at Colfax High School.
The clinic will also give players in third- to eighth-grades an opportunity to sign-up for the AAU Velocity season that runs from March to May. Spring tournaments and practice times will be distributed at the signups.  
The clinic is open to all girls in third- to eighth-grades. Simpton urges players from Colfax, Alta and Weimar Hills to sign up.
Cost for the two-session clinic is $25 and players can register at the door. The clinic will be run by Colfax High girls’ basketball coach Rich Simpton, along with current Colfax High varsity and JV players.
Checks should be made payable to Lady Falcon basketball. Players wishing to register through the mail can do so by sending checks to Rich Simpton, varsity girls’ basketball at Colfax High School, 24995 Ben Taylor Road, Colfax, CA 95713.
