Kids’ Fishing Day

The fifth annual “Kids Fishing Day” co-hosted by Bass Master fisherman Skeet Reese and the Auburn Recreation District is set for Saturday, May 6 at Meadow Vista Park. The event will run from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event is open to boys and girls ages 15 years and younger and is free. The first 250 anglers to sign up for the day will receive a special fishing “goody bag.”

The day will begin with a pancake breakfast. Trout fishing, with trout provided by the Department of Fish & Game, will be the highlight of the day. In addition, bounce houses, face painting, laser tag, food and more will be available.

This special day is supported by professional bass angler Skeet Reese and the Auburn Recreation District. This year, the proceeds raised from the event will go to ARD youth-assistance program, the Meadow Vista Friendly Neighbors, and Tackle the Storm.
