Celebration of Life for Glenn Poole Saturday
A Celebration of Life for former Colfax High teacher and football coach Glenn Poole is planned for this Saturday in Roseville. The gathering will be held at Bunz and Co. restaurant (311 Judah St.) in Roseville, starting at 2 p.m.
Poole’s son, Terry, said that the gathering will be informal with a microphone available for anyone who would like to speak. Poole, who passed away last November at the age of 84, was Colfax High’s first football coach when the school opened in 1959. He coached football, along with basketball and track, at Colfax from 1960 to 1964.
He then followed Colfax High Principal Ken Sahl to Oakmont in 1965 to become the first football coach at the then new high school in Roseville.
