Co-op comeback in Downtown Auburn

The Auburn Downtown Co-op is a uniquely-crafted free community celebration to be held 5 to 9 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month from May through September. The event takes place outdoors on Lincoln Way from Cleveland Avenue to High Street at the Clock Tower.

The event is sponsored by the Downtown Business Association and the City of Auburn in support of building a vibrant, creative and sustainable downtown by creating a place for community to gather and celebrate the unique and eclectic character of the area. Filled with over 50 craft vendors, live music stages, great food, local breweries and wineries, pop-up skate park and lots of fun activities for children.

Author and artist Obi Kaufmann will be the featured guest at the launch May 3. Kaufmann will be on Lincoln Way, offering and signing copies of the “California Field Atlas.” At 6:30 p.m. he will give an amplified talk.
Other special attractions: The Pour Choice is partnering with Verve Coffee to bring the Verve Van up to Auburn for the event; local artist Dana Ross will offer nature journaling for children; and Volkswaffle will be making a special appearance offering authentic Belgium waffles.
