Reader Input: Department of "Justice"

-A +A

The Department of "Justice" under Trump appointee Jeff Sessions refuses to defend the Affordable Care Act. National Public Radio's segment on June 8 reported that If the Affordable Care Act is dismantled, "as many as 130 million adults under age 65 in the U.S. have pre-existing conditions that could result in their not being able to get insurance coverage in the private market, according to the Department of Health and Human Services. The Kaiser Family Foundation puts the number at about a quarter of the country's under-65 population. A Kaiser tracking poll in June 2017 showed 70 percent of adults want Congress to keep pre-existing condition protections."

These pre-existing numbers are for folks under the age of 65. As for seniors, I know of no one 65 or older who does not have a pre-existing condition. If you vote for California Congressional District 4 Representative Tom McClintock in November, you will vote for someone who supports the Trump administration in their fight against health insurance for you and your neighbors.    Please vote for Jessica Morse.
