Name: Deputy Brian Towle
Why did you want to join the Placer County Sheriff team?
I’ve been a part of the Placer Sheriff’s team for almost 12 years now, as a correctional officer. I really wanted to join the Placer family and feel a sense of pride while working in a challenging profession. At this point in my life I wanted to become a deputy to utilize my skill set and qualities as a law enforcement officer and create some new adventures for myself.
What do you hope to accomplish as a deputy? What are your top priorities?
My initial goals are to learn something new every day to help me advance my skills in this profession as a sheriff’s deputy. My top priorities are to successfully complete the FTO (field training officer) program while maintaining the highest level of integrity and the strongest ethical standard as well as being someone that my fellow deputies can count in any situation.
What advice would you give to those who may be considering a job in law enforcement?
If you enjoy working as a team while serving your community and you refuse to compromise your integrity and moral standards, then the law enforcement profession could be the right path for you!
Where would you like to see yourself in 10 years?
In 10 years I hope that I have developed my skills as a deputy to the point where I can explore one of the many options available to deputies such as becoming a detective or a patrol sergeant.
