Salmon and steelhead, coming soon to Auburn

-A +A

Jessica Morse and Audrey, candidates running for Congress in November, talk with Jack Sanchez and Bob Hane at Pine Valley Ranch on Kemper Road in Auburn. They asked to observe an environmental River Restoration project on North Ravine by SARSAS (Save Auburn Ravine Salmon and Steelhead). SARSAS is a nonprofit whose mission is to facilitate the migration of salmon and steelhead from the Sacramento River up Auburn Ravine to Auburn. The migration will end in two parks, Ashford Park and Auburn School Park Reserve, where the salmon will spawn. The salmon run typically takes place at Auburn Ravine Park in Lincoln from October to December. For more information, contact SARSAS president Jack Sanchez at or 530-888-0281.
