Antique Show opens Saturday at Auburn fairgrounds
The annual Twin Bridges Annual Antique Show and Sale to benefit the Placer County Library takes place Feb. 23-24 in the Armory Building at the Gold Country Fairgrounds, 1273 High St. in Auburn. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5 per person; parking is free.
Major displays will include a selection of glass, china, porcelains and pottery; vintage and estate jewelry; primitives and American country; watches and accessories, dolls, linens, textiles and coins; American Indian; paintings, paper collectibles and vintage baseball cards; and American and European furniture and furnishings.
Appraiser Steven Yvaska, “The Antiques Advisor,” will provide antique evaluation and identification from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day for $5 per item. Kenny Lang of Miracle Glass Repair of Grass Valley will be present during the show to provide professional repair of damaged glassware for a fee.
Almost $16,000 has been raised to date for the Placer County from this event since 1999.
