Stephanie Solich had 10 kills and four blocks and Morgan Lees added eight kills as Del Oro (15-4) beat visiting 25-22, 25-23, 25-17 in the Sierra Valley League opener Wednesday.
Brooke Simmons chipped in with five kills for Del Oro, which hosts Rocklin on Monday.

Bella Vista 5, Del Oro 4 — Abby Bacharach (6-2, 6-2), Macey Bailey (6-2, 6-1) and Ashley Brening (6-0, 1-6, 7-6, 7-5) had singles victories and Belle Champlin and Jamie Forslin (6-3, 6-3) won a doubles match Wednesday for Del Oro (6-3, 2-1 SFL), which plays Granite Bay today.
