A series of disturbances at the Auburn Town Center on Elm Avenue resulted in the arrest of a 20-year-old male for criminal threats Sunday evening.

At approximately 6:45 p.m. Sunday officers from the Auburn Police Department responded to the north end of the Auburn Town Center shopping complex regarding a complaint of a disturbance, according to a press release issued by the Auburn Police Department. The officers contacted Devin Eugene Baker -- however, no enforcement action was taken.

Just an hour later the officers returned to the shopping center after a report came in that Baker had allegedly made criminal threats to employees of the Save Mart grocery store.

During the investigation several witnesses stated Baker allegedly made homicidal threats to a Save Mart employee. Baker was then arrested for the threats and booked into the Placer County Jail. He is currently not in custody.
