Buell tagged boys league MVP

Dorsey, Larson make first team

Will Buell of Colfax High’s Pioneer Valley League champion boys basketball team was named the PVL’s Most Valuable Player in voting held recently by the league’s coaches.

Buell, a 6-foot-7-inch wing, was one of six Colfax players honored on the all-PVL first or second team. Joining Buell on the first team were guard Taylor Dorsey and center Matt Larson, both seniors.

Earning second-team honors for the Falcons were senior Paul Ramseth and juniors Jordan Balser and Dave Campbell.

Other PVL first team picks included Marcus Salgado, Alexis Gonzalez and Adam Felt of Lincoln, Placer’s Isiah Pineiro, Justin Beskeen of Bear River, and Anthony Williams and Douglas James of Foothill.

Colfax High coach Mike O’Connell was selected as the PVL’s Coach of the Year.
