Falcons slash Tigers

Showing no effects of a post Kendall Arnett tournament title letdown, the Colfax Falcons boys basketball team jumped on the Roseville Tigers early Tuesday evening and kept on running to an eventual, 69-43, win.
Colfax, now 10-4 on the season and winners in seven straight games, raced out to a 19-6 lead after a quarter and extended it to 36-12 by the halftime break.
Eleven different Falcons found the scoring column led by Chase Mosier with 15 points, Ben Buell’s 12 and nine from Robert O’Connell.
Meanwhile, Austin Oberg chipped in with seven points while Brandon Creemen and Tom Baldoni chipped in with six markers respectively.
Completing Colfax’s scoring were Elliot Forsman with five points, Brett Fowler with three and Luke Beninga, Joey Rooker and Cody Stevener all with two points each.
Colfax JVs 64 Roseville 49 — Colfax improved to 8-6 on the season with the win over the Tigers.
Matt Larson’s 20 points, 16 from Will Buell, 11 from Taylor Dorsey and seven by Devon Loomis sparked the win. The Falcons also defeated Mira Loma, 56-41, at the Arnett Tournament with Buell netting 13 points and Loomis and Larson adding 10 apiece.
Colfax Frosh 53 Roseville 43 — Jack Baldoni and Cole Jouce scored 10 points apiece to help pace the Falcons (9-2) past the Tigers.
Colfax will be at home Friday for a 7 p.m. game against Whitney. Frosh and JV games will start at 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
