Foresthill Bridge open again to daytime trafficBy: Journal Staff Report
The Foresthill Bridge was expected to be open again Wednesday for daytime traffic – two days ahead of schedule.
Placer County announced that work to place a crane on the north deck of the bridge was completed early, allowing traffic to move both ways throughout the day across the bridge near Auburn. The work was initially slated to have kept traffic detoured along Old Foresthill Road from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through Friday.
Hiking trails under the bridge that were also closed as a safety precaution during the same hours starting this past Monday, are also scheduled to re-open Wednesday.
