The Girl Scout Troop 2172 in the Colfax-Auburn area recently donated 87 new pair of pajamas and other articles of clothing and bedding to the Placer County Children's Emergency Shelter in Auburn. The pajamas were collected at an overnight pajama party hosted by the girls for the Bear River Service Unit, which over 100 Girl Scouts attended. The Girl Scouts attend Colfax and Placer High and Weimar Hills Charter or are home schooled. Many of them have been participating in the troop since it formed in 2004. Girl Scouts celebrates its 100th anniversary this year.
