Hold engineering firm accountable

It is not proper that the city of Colfax is paying to install its old filters to the new $8 million Wastewater Treatment Plant. The engineering firm that designed this plant, for which the city paid $800,000, should be held accountable for its bad design. I believe the courts should be involved to force HDR Engineering to pay to fix this plant and pay any and all fines, penalties and court costs, including the litigation with the downstream neighbors. The city did its part in paying for this new plant, but we should not have to pay to correct HDR’s mistakes. Tom Parnham, former operator of the Colfax Wastewater Treatment Plant
