Colfax High to begin soccer conditioning The Colfax High boys soccer team has listed its important starting dates for the upcoming 2012 season. Varsity and JV tryout dates and times are Aug. 15-17 from 3:15 to 5 p.m. each day on the CHS soccer field. The varsity team will not hold any formal pre-tryout conditioning or footskill camps this season. That is due to the near 100 percent participation of players on club teams that are active throughout the summer. Prospective 2012 season varsity players not playing on a club team this summer can train with prospective JV players. Prospective 2012 season JV players, including incoming freshmen, are encouraged to attend pre-tryout conditioning and footskill training that will run July 30 through Aug. 3 on the CHS soccer field. There is no fee. The week of July 30 will be only be conditioning, as due to CIF rules, no activities with a ball are allowed.
