Kudos to those who supported ceremonies

On behalf of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Colfax Post 2003, I’d like to publicly thank all those who made the Memorial Day ceremonies at the Colfax Cemetery and Colfax Indian Cemetery such a success this year. Kathy Dusart provided a well-timed release of doves. Doug Chapin serenaded us all with his bagpipes and Emma Mae Jacob provided us with a great rendition of “Amazing Grace.” Janelle Marks and Clyde Prout III from the Colfax-Todds Valley Consolidated Tribe helped coordinate the traditional ceremony at the Colfax Indian Cemetery. Thanks also go out to all of you who took a moment to honor the men and women who died while serving our country, whether at a Memorial Day ceremony, or in your own way. Joe Hagerty, Commander-elect, VFW Post 2003
