Lady Falcons split PVL games

The girls softball squad at Colfax High has been staying busy. On Tuesday, the Lady Falcons dropped a tough 4-3 decision at Bear River despite a three-run home run from Jenna Patterson.

Earlier, last week the Lady Falcons came from behind and used Nelly Steinhoff’s RBI single that drove home Stephanie Scott for the game-winning run in a 7-6 extra-inning win at Center.

Scott got aboard in the eighth off a double before crossing home for the Lady Falcons who are now 2-2 in Pioneer Valley League action and  (9-8 overall.

Scott, Meghan McCollum, Alex Mutto and Kiara McGinnis all had 2-for-4 days at the plate. Taylor Avila was 2 for 3.

Colfax also went 1-2 in the Folsom Tournament last Saturday picking up an 8-3 win over Dixon.

Colfax will host Lincoln at 4 p.m. today in a PVL game.
