The Placer County Museums is recruiting volunteers to join their team of dedicated, history-loving people, enabling the county’s museums division to provide a variety of services to the public.
Volunteers learn the ins and outs of local history, meet interesting people and make new friends. Docent training is provided and all volunteers have the opportunity to continue learning by attending advanced classes.
Docents greet visitors and lead tours of historic buildings and museums. Others demonstrate crafts and trades on Living History days or teach people how to pan for gold. For more information, call 889-6500.
