Verizon employees worked on telephone lines along West Oak Street Tuesday, where a house was destroyed by a pre-dawn fire Monday, Jan. 28. According to a Verizon crew member, there could be more than two dozen homes without phone service. A Verizon spokesperson has been contacted but was unable to provide further information about the outage.
