Sierra Market owners Merva Stallions, Dave Stallions, Sher Campbell and Sam Newton recently celebrated their association with the Independence Grocers Alliance. Dave Stallions and Newton both worked at the D&M Market in 1974 and went on to open Sierra Market on Dec. 5, 1988 at 575 S. Auburn St. “The greatest thing about this store is being here in Colfax,” Sher Campbell said. “It’s a two-way … we are part of the community and the community supports us.”
