'SWING FOR OLIVIA' TOURNAMENT MAY 28 Spots are still open for the Colfax Recreation Association’s first annual “Swing For Olivia” Golf Tournament on Saturday, May 28, at Alta Sierra Country Club in Grass Valley. The tourney will be played under a four-player scramble format with a shot gun start slated for 1 p.m. Entry fee for the tourney is $100 per player, with hole sponsorships also available for $50. Proceeds from the event will go toward the Olivia Ellis Memorial Scholarship fund at Colfax High. To reserve a foursome for the tournament or offer a sponsorship contact Ed Marson at 346-2204 or Mike Ray at 906-4014. COLFAX HIGH GIRLS BASKETBALL CLINIC SET The Colfax High Lady Falcons will be hosting their annual girls basketball camp with two sessions in June at Colfax High. The first session is set for June 6-10 for girls who are incoming freshmen up through seniors. The camp runs evenings from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The second session is for girls in grades 4-8 and will run daily from 8:30 a.m. to noon June 13-16. Cost of the camps are $90, which includes a camp T-shirt and basketball. To register, visit the Colfax High School website and download the camp registration form. CHS BASKETBALL CAMP DATES ANNOUNCED The Colfax High boys basketball program has announced the dates for its 2011 summer camps.Sessions run June 13-16 and June 20-23.
