Tech Junction Cafe opens Friday
The Tech Junction Café, a multi-function facility, will open Friday at 42 N. Main St. “One of the main functions will be an Internet café,” said Matt Cummins, who will oversee the Colfax operation. “The café will provide complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi to anyone bringing in a laptop as well as comfortable chairs and tables.” In a separate area, users will have access to a VIP room with a professional meeting area and access to a printer. Four computers with professional productivity software and Internet access will be available on site for a fee. Pre-packaged snacks, baked goods, coffee and hot chocolate will be available for purchase, Cummins continued. “The café is going to function as the center for the community’s source for computer and networking services,” he said. Experts in the PC and service industry will be on hand to answer questions, provide advice and even service desktops, laptops and peripherals. Cummins, a resident of Auburn, worked with The Geek Squad before returning to Foothill.net. Foothill.net owner Devin Koch is the owner. Tech Junction Café will be open seven days a week. The café will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and will remain open until 8:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. On Saturdays, the café will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 820-1020 or visit techjunctioncafe.com.
