The Veterans of Foreign Wars, Ladies Auxiliary 2003, would like to thank all the scouting groups, school classes, groups and individuals who made “Valentines for Vets. More than 2,194 beautiful and unique valentines were made and gratefully enjoyed by the veterans residing at the Reno VA Hospital, Mather VA Hospital and Yountville Veterans Home, Auburn VA Clinic. They were also included in the Placer County Operation MOM January and February mailing to military service members serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Over the past 12 years, more than 25,500 Valentines have been shared with our veterans through this local outreach.
