The Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary Post 2003 would like to thank all the Scouting groups, churches, school classes, groups, participants of the Auburn Sweetheart Run, and individuals who made “Valentines for Vets.” More than 1538 beautiful and unique valentines were made and gratefully enjoyed by the veterans at the Reno VA Hospital, Mather VA Hospital, Auburn VA Clinic, Placer County Veterans Service Office, and included in the Navy League mailing to military service members serving in Afghanistan. Over the past 12 years, more than 27,000 valentines have been shared with our veterans through this local outreach.
