When a giant falls

?This is one of the largest Canyon Live Oak trees I have seen,? stated Tree Pro Tree Service owner Fred Lowe, who has been in the tree business for more than 35 years. He received the call on Monday from Vicky Trotter to remove the tree, which toppled during last weekend?s storm. While the tree wasn?t very high, its circumference was 15-feet, 7-inches. The old tree grazed the roof of Trotter?s Placer Hills Road residence as it fell, but didn?t cause any major structural damage to the home. ?When we heard the loud noise, we knew what it was,? she said. ?It is sad to see it go. Thankfully, it didn?t do much damage. It could have been so much worse.? -- Marci Seither
