As of press time, the race for the District 5 seat on the board of the Placer County Water Agency remains too close to call. With 93 percent of the vote counted, incumbent Otis Wollan clung to a 50.09 percent lead over challenger Ben Mavy, who had 49.62 percent. Wollan’s lead was just 75 votes ahead of Mavy.
