The annual Colfax Christmas Winter Festival has come and gone and what a great day and evening it was in every aspect. Twenty-four vendors filled the venue behind the Colfax Junction building. Hundreds lined the streets to view the Lions Club’s Parade of Lights led by the popular Lyman Gilmore school band. Attire included shorts and t-shirts as attendees enjoyed the unusually warm winter evening. The officers and directors of Colfax Pride, Inc. want to recognize and thank members of the Colfax Baptist Church for help with manning parade route traffic points, Jayson McKinney and Boy Scout Troop 25 for help with clean up on Sunday morning, our Colfax Fire Department volunteers for manning the popular bonfire, Placer County Public Works for logistical support and Ron and Carol Dotto of the Country Feed Store for logistical support. The public safety team of CHP, Colfax Fire, American Medical Response and Placer County Sheriffs was led by our newly assigned resident Sgt. Andrew Scott. Thank you and Merry Christmas…Happy Kwanzaa and Happy Hanukkah to all! Ken Delfino, President, Colfax Pride, Inc.
