Annual quilt show this weekend in Auburn

Foothill Quilters Guild will host their annual quilt show, "Mardi Gras in the Foothills," from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Gold Country Fairgrounds, 1273 High Street in Auburn.

More than 300 quilts will be on display. Vendors and a Country Store will offer quilting items and gifts.

Also planned are quilting demonstrations, a Kids' Corner and a café for dining.

A shuttle van will be circling the fairgrounds throughout the day providing rides from the main parking lot to the various buildings.

At 3 p.m., the guild's opportunity quilt will be raffled. Tickets will be on sale in the Armory Building during the show.

Admission is $6. Children, age 6 and under, will be admitted free.
