Acclaimed bluegrass band Sawmill Road performs during the Auburn Art Walk Thursday evening at the Auburn Promenade. Colfax?s Bruce Johnson, far left, is a fiddle player and singer with the group, which includes Steve Spurgin, Mark Miracle, Dick Brown and Charles Edsall. The band will appear in concert at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 14, at the Blue Goose Fruit Shed in Loomis. Sawmill Road will be showcased at the International Bluegrass Music Association convention in Nashville in late September.
