The 19th annual Cool Mountain Bike Race got off to a great start Sunday morning under cloudy conditions. The rain held off for excellent riding conditions on the 10 mile Olmstead Loop Trail. Over 300 riders took place in the annual fundraising event.

Michael Hosey was the overall winner Sunday in the Cool Mountain Bike Race. Hosey finished in 2:03:10. The 23 year old from Cotati California last rode the Cool race in 2003.

Auburn?s Tyler Covich got off to a good start at the Cool Mountain Bike Race Sunday in the 20-29 age beginning division, riding one 10 mile lap. Covich placed 4th in his division with a time of 1:09:33.

Michael ?Buck ? Hosey of Cotati, California was the overall winner and first place finisher in the pro division Sunday. Hosey rode three laps and covered the 30 miles in 2:03:10. ?The course was fun, a little muddy but not that technical, it was wide open power which is good for me,? said Hosey after the race.
