The Wild West Stampede rolled into Auburn this weekend with exciting pro rodeo action. Featured activities started Saturday with Mutton Bustin' for the youngsters, as the little guys tried to hang on to sheep for as long as they could. Pro rodeo action followed included bull riding, tie down roping, bareback riding, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding, team roping, and barrel racing. A large crowd turned out for the cowboy action which continues Sunday at the Gold Country Fairgrounds. Rodeo has been an annual activity in Auburn for over 80 years showcasing ranching skills. The rodeo has been brought to Auburn by the Wild West Rodeo Association for the last 25 years. There was something for everyone and the weather could not of been better for spectators.
