Several hundred alumni, community members, parents and students of Bowman Charter School attended the official ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday evening on the campus.
The occasion was for the opening of the newly completed multipurpose building. The $8 million, two-story project includes offices, classrooms and a state of the art gymnasium.
Ackerman Charter District Superintendent and Bowman Charter School Principal Kelly Graham thanked the many professionals and volunteers who have been involved in the project, then cut the ribbon opening the building. Attendees toured the spacious and beautiful facilities and the Bowman Bulls boys and girl’s teams christened the gym with inaugural basketball games. Hot dogs, beverages and cotton candy was served.
