"We were committed to this event rain or shine," said Booras. "The funds we raise today benefit the Placer Hills Fire Fighters Association and are used for activities throughout the year that are not funded by the district," he said.

Dan Kattenhorn, of Auburn's Longhorn Meat Company, drive his vintage 1947 Allis Chalmers tractor in the parade just ahead of the Colfax Junior Falcon's football team. Kattenhorn's entry of restored tractors won the Sweepstakes trophy, Pioneer Day's top parade entry honor.
