The second annual Foothills Brewfest hit a home run Saturday selling out their now annual fundraiser. Seven hundred fifty beer lovers gathered at the Gold Country Fairgrounds to sample products from 24 area breweries.
Live music by 60 HZ Hum filled the fairgrounds as patrons tasted and talked beer. Food trucks were available for nourishment and several cornhole board games were available for guests. The event was sponsored by and a fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Auburn and the Gold Country Fair Heritage Foundation.
“Our goal this year was to keep the proportion of brewers to attendees that we had last year,” said Brewfest chairman Jeff Ambrosia. “We capped attendance at 750 people with respect to the breweries and to give the breweries a chance to discuss their beers with attendees.”
