Smith finished the run in 4:12:21 A busy Auburn Lake Trails aid station,the ALT aid station has runners coming and going on the course and passing each other going in opposite directions. Leor Pantilat wins the 2009 Way to Cool. Eventual overall winner Leor Pantilat desends toward the Highway 49 aid station almost seven miles into the race. The Way to Cool 50K ultra running event got underway on time at 8:00am Saturday morning behind the fire station in Cool. The 20th annual event had 550 participants take off in the brisk morning air. Overall winner Leor Pantilat covered the 31 mile course in 3:39:51.
