Carol Feineman became editor of the Lincoln News Messenger in November, 2008. For a year and a half prior, she was an editor at The Examiner in San Francisco. From January, 2005 to August, 2007, Carol was editor of Lincoln's sister paper, the Colfax Record, where she learned how important it is to make the local newspaper accessible to as many residents as possible. Carol also worked at the Union newspaper in Grass Valley for seven-plus years as the arts and entertainment editor. After graduating from the University of Florida with a journalism degree and a minor in political science, Carol honed her skills at newspapers in her home state. Working at a paper that focuses on local residents is the main reason Carol moved back here from San Francisco.
